KUSA - Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Duchene will officially be a game time decision for game five Monday night in St. Paul, Minn.

Duchene skated with the Avalanche at Friday morning's practice and participated in all of the drills. Duchene is coming back from a medial collateral ligament sprain he suffered March 29.

"He's going to do the pre-game warm up, and if he feels ready, he'll go, and if he's not, he won't," head coach Patrick Roy said following practice Monday.

It is believed that if Duchene plays in Game Six, he will skate with the fourth line and the power play. Duchene's teammates are excited for his return whenever it might happen.

"He poses a scoring threat every time he's on the ice," Paul Stastny said. "Anytime you can get a goal from any line in a tight series like this helps out."

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST. 9NEWS reporter Aaron Matas is with the Avalanche in Minnesota and will be live from the Xcel Energy Center during the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts on 9NEWS.
