Interstate 70 is having some technical difficulties and is closed at multiple points because of crashes and slide-offs, as Colorado Department of Transportation tweeted.
First, there's a closure on eastbound I-70 at Vail because of multiple slide-offs. There is no estimated time for reopening.
I-70 West was closed at Eisenhower Tunnel because of a major crash, and shortly thereafter, a closure at Georgetown was tweeted, also because of a major crash.
No estimated time was given for either aside from a warning to expect an "extended closure."
Less than an hour later, another closure was tweeted on I-70 westbound at Copper Mountain because of slide-offs.
