A man died Tuesday after jumping off the U.S. 34 overpass onto Interstate 25 during the morning rush hour.

Loveland police responded to the area around 8 a.m. after hearing reports of a man standing on the overpass above the interstate. Both U.S. 34 and I-25 were shut down in the area for about half-hour after he jumped.

He was not hit by oncoming traffic, according to a Loveland Police Department news release.
