A small plane made an emergency landing on I-70 in western Colorado on Monday afternoon.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. near the Rifle Airport. The pilot of the single engine plane told law enforcement there wasn't enough fuel to make it to the runway, so they opted instead for the highway.
No injuries were reported and no property was damaged.
Efforts are underway to get the plane to a more appropriate place.
If you're headed that way, be aware of extra workers on scene in the area (milemaker 92) and expect delays.
