Motorists headed west on Interstate 70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel were at a standstill for nearly an hour and a half after several cars went off the interstate just west of the tunnel Sunday night.

CDOT said they weren't sure when they could reopen after the 6 p.m. wreck near mile marker 215, and that their main goal was working to clear the roadway after five cars went off in just 30 minutes.

The eastbound lanes weren't slowed.
