DENVER — Travelers at Denver International Airport will now have a fun place to kill time before or after their flight.
After a two year hiatus, the Denver International Airport ice rink is back. Located outside, between the Jeppesen Terminal and the Westin Hotel, travelers can ice skate to their hearts' content between the hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily (inclement weather notwithstanding) for free.
Free skates can be obtained at the skate shop, which is located inside the Westin on the west side near Tivoli Tap House. People can purchase snacks in the skate shop at an additional cost.
“We are excited to announce our ice rink is back for passengers and community members to enjoy,” said airport CEO Phil Washington in a release. “Whether folks are traveling to or through DEN, or just want to visit the airport for the day and enjoy this free activity with friends and family, DEN is here to provide holiday cheer!”
DIA's Ice Rink on the Plaza is scheduled to run through Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023.
