Denver International Airport has reclaimed its position as the fifth busiest airport in the United States.
The airport served 61.4 million passengers last year, a 5.3 percent increase from 2016.
International passenger traffic increased 12.5 percent to an all-time high of 2.59 million passengers, according to a news release from DIA.
DIA also says the airport was voted "Best Regional Airport: North America" by travelers, according to the 2018 Skytrax World Airport Awards. The awards cover 550 airports worldwide and evaluate traveler experience from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration and departures.
