By now, you’ve seen the photos of shattered car windows and damaged roofs after Monday afternoon’s hailstorm pummeled much of the Front Range.
It was a bad storm, and here’s what happened next: State Farm got lots of hail damage claims.
How many? The largest insurer in the state received approximately 3,250 home damage claims and 12,600 auto damage claims – and they’re expecting more.

Customers with the most severe damage got priority, State Farm says.
We haven’t gotten data from other insurers, but you can guess they’re also busy.
And with more severe weather in the forecast, they’ll likely stay that way for a while.
