Winter, you have some explaining to do.

Snow sports enthusiasts have probably noticed that winter is still nowhere to be seen, even though we’re a week into November. And this has also caused some trouble for ski resorts, which have had to push back their opening days amid warm weather and a lack of moisture.

There is, however, some good news.

Loveland announced Monday that it will open for the season on Thursday – a few weeks after Arapahoe Basin started up its lifts on Oct. 21.

Lift 1 will start up at 9 a.m. Thursday and stay open until 4 p.m. The Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run runs will be open.

Ticket tickets run for $59 for adults and $27 for kids 6-14 during the early season.
