The late May snowstorm that hit the Front Range last week may have extended the Colorado ski season a bit.

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is the only ski area still open. It was set to close June 4, but this latest round of snow has the ski area reconsidering.

"I just did a couple hikes up on the east wall and it was mid-winter skiing up there," said A-Basin Chief Operating Officer Alan Henceroth. "[It was] a little bit more spring like down low, but the base is just about as deep as it's been all year long."

On Saturday, Swimwear Day participants braved the snowy conditions at A-Basin.

According to A-Basin's website, the area got 13 inches of snow over the past three days and the base is 70 inches.

A few employees told 9NEWS this weekend was the busiest they've ever experienced this time of year.
