If you were up super early Friday morning, you probably experienced the warmest temperatures you’ll get for a while.

A cold front is moving into the area that will come with a 25-degree temperature drop that will send temperatures into the 20s by late afternoon.

A few light flurries in the Front Range and plains are likely Friday night, with the bulk of the accumulating snow coming overnight and into Saturday morning and afternoon.

Expect between to 2 to 5 inches of accumulation in Denver, with 3 to 7 inches in the foothills and up to a foot of much-needed snow in the mountains.

It should finish falling by Saturday night.

Except cold temperatures on Sunday, with morning lows between 3 and 8 degrees and afternoon highs from 37 to 42 degrees.
