Yet another Colorado ski area is opening up for the season.

Eldora announced on Friday that it will kick off its 2017/2018 go-around on Saturday. Eight runs will be open, and they cautioned that “early season conditions exist.”

The Nordic center won’t be open until mid-December, according to a news release.

You might notice one huge new edition this year: the ski area’s first high-speed detachable lift, which came with a $5.5 million price tag.

This will bring skiers up the mountain in five minutes rather than the 12 to 14 minutes it was before.

Eldora is one of the closest ski areas to Denver and is near Nederland, Colorado.
