The Colorado Department of Transportation says Highway 93 between Boulder and Golden is back open after high winds caused whiteout conditions late Saturday morning.

CSP Boulder tweeted just before noon that Highway 93 was being made inaccessible by authorities between 64 Avenue in Jeffco and Highway 128. The road was originally closed between Hwy 128 and Highway 72.

A CDOT spokesperson says the highway reopened just before 2:30 p.m.
