The intersection 47th Avenue and Washington Street closed Monday morning due to a water main break, according to a tweet from the Denver Police Department.
Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes.
This comes the same morning that snow and ice snarled traffic throughout the Denver metro area and beyond.
It’s unclear what caused the water main break or when the road is expected to reopen.
