Morning snow will affect several (but not all) areas here along the I-25 Corridor. The highest snow accumulations expected are only from a trace to 2 inches on grassy areas by noon.
For areas along and south of County Line Road and in the foothills up to 2 to 5 inches of snow is forecast.
Slick roads along Interstate 70 led to at least one major crash Tuesday morning.
Westbound I-70 was closed at Copper Mountain after a crash involving a commercial motor vehicle. The road has since reopened, but traction laws remain in place for that stretch of the interstate.
Afternoon skies will stay cloudy with wind gusts up to 25 mph at times. Highs will be in the lower 40s.
Milder weather returns Wednesday, with gusty winds forecast for Thanksgiving Day.
