The festival features "Tastes of Greece" with homemade food and pastries from Greece to satisfy any appetite. Traditional Greek coffee will also be provided along with frappes, a popular coffee drink in Greece. Admission is only $2 for an all-day pass, kids and seniors enter for free. The festival hours are from 11:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M on Friday and Saturday, and from 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M on Sunday.
Authors of the Festival of Greek Flavors cookbook will be hosting a series of cooking demonstrations at this year's Greek Festival. Participants can learn how to make traditional Greek dishes sampled at "Tastes of Greece" at the festival.
Live Greek music throughout the festival will be performed by the Assumption Cathedral Choir. The choir will perform Hymns of the Orthodox Church and other Christian Music. Along with the music, traditional Greek dancing by the Hellenic Dance Academy of Denver will also be present.
The Greek Boutique will feature jewelry, clothing and original artwork, displaying the best of Greek artisans. The Assumption Cathedral Book Store also offers Greek Orthodox icons, books and literature for purchase. Daily tours of the renovated Cathedral will be offered during the festival.
Some of the festival proceeds and donations will be donated to the local non-profit organizations and charities including, Families First and Denver Children's Home. Bonfils Blood Center will provide a blood donation vehicle during the Greek Festival on all three days.
