DENVER - RV-ing brings the comforts of home on the road and saves big bucks on family vacation.

As long time RV-ers, the Herzog family has made road tripping an annual experience for their family. Brad and Amy have mastered road trips over the last twelve years with more than 100,000 miles crosscountry with their two sons.

The family has visited all 48 continuous states with stops ranging from major cities to small, unknown towns.

"When I'm driving along the open road with this big windshield in front of me it's almost like a movie of America is unfolding in front of me," said Brad Herzog, a travel writer and blogger who chronicles his family's adventures on the road. "Anytime i want to I can stop the film and enter the picture and that's just a really cool feeling."

RVers say that traveling on wheels offers flexibility to get out and explore the U.S. in a unique way. Traveling by RV can also be a huge money saver for families who want to get out and explore the country.

"People think of gas prices and think its going to cost them a lot of money but they don't think of the money that you save but not paying for hotels, not paying for restaurants," Herzog said. "By being able to have you house with us [you have] your own comforts of home."
