DENVER - If the idea of writing on someone's wall seems incredibly unkind and disrespectful. If someone tells you to send a tweet, and you simply scratch your head. If those statements are true, then it is definitely time to ask a friend, a coworker or perhaps a teenager about Facebook and Twitter.
"I guarantee employers are searching online to see what your online presence looks like these days," 9NEWS Digital Media Manager Misty Montano said. "It is as easy as going to these websites and signing up. It is your email your name and a password. Then, if you are lost and need further help, I encourage you to go to your local library and ask for assistance. "
Montano says there are four major online networks where you can create profiles to help with your job search: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

Day 3: Get creative with mini-resumes
DENVER - In today's job market, it is not unusual for one job posting to generate hundreds of resumes. This is why experts say it is time to get creative with the traditional, white, chronologically-ordered resume.
"The ResuMiniMe is a great option for the job seeker who loves to network," Jack Garber said.
Garber is a 9NEWS viewer who contacted our newsroom after watching our Help Wanted series to introduce a new and fresh way to display a resume.
"It can include a picture, your experience, your profile and a QR code that directs people to your own website," Garber said.
Garber came up with idea a couple years ago while he was unemployed. Instead of giving up on the job market, Garber came up with a unique idea to help others. Now he is the founder and creator of the mini-resume cards that are popping up at networking parties across Colorado.
