DENVER - The Original Dickens Carolers made time for 9NEWS in their very busy holiday schedule.

Denver's premiere Victorian caroling company sang for the morning team and performed with the news crew.

9NEWS took a poll on www.facebook.com/ilike9news as to what Christmas carols were favorites among our viewers. "I'll Be Home for Christmas" was a top-rated song, so the morning crew took turns singing that. The guys vs. girls caroling contest was a friendly competition. In true Christmas spirit, everybody was a winner.

Although an instant hit, the 9NEWS Carolers will not be joining The Original Dickens Carolers in future gigs.

The caroling company will be spreading holiday cheer through Christmas Eve in various shopping districts, including Larimer Square. The LoDo shopping area was the first place where the group performed in 1986.

The Original Dickens Carolers are also going, literally, over the river and through the woods next week. The company will perform at the Winter Wonderland at Sol Vista Basin at Granby Ranch . Aside from their voices, visitors will enjoy night-skiing and tubing, horse-drawn wagon rides and of course, roasted chestnuts and wassail.
