"On behalf of educators in JeffCo, I want to thank JeffCo voters for their continued support of JeffCo's students, teachers and schools," Ami Prichard, JCEA president, said in a statement.
Initiative 3A will preserve teaching positions and programs including elementary band, libraries, and outdoor lab. Initiative 3B will provide the school district with funding for safety improvements.
"As a result of this victory, we can continue taking the lead to get real results for students by ensuring that every student is taught by a quality teacher and that teachers have the resources necessary to provide a 21st century education so that students can compete in the global economy," Prichard said.
The impact for the initiatives will be a property tax increase of about $44 for the year on a $300,000 home.
