Both the hospital and the DAM hope the power of art will boost spirits, build confidence and create moments of family connections. 

"The Ponzio Creative Arts Therapy Program will oversee a mini-mural project, with separate paintings for each letter that spell Art Heals. The Art Heals mural will be on temporary display on June 2 at the DAM when the museum kicks off expanded summer programming for families with a Free First Saturday packed with activities for all ages," according to the program.
