KUSA – Taylor Swift. So hot right now, Taylor Swift.
The former country star and current pop star/overlord and her iconic 1989 World Tour are making a stop in Denver this weekend, and we figured, why not learn a little bit more about the woman who provided the most sought-after Pepsi Center tickets since some guy named Garth Brooks?
When Taylor was a kid, she lived on a Christmas tree farm
You read that right. The 11-acre farm was in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and her job was to rake Praying Mantis pods off the trees.
You might be able to thank a computer repairman for her career
When she was 12, a computer repairman taught her three chords on the guitar. That's what inspired her to write her first song, "Lucky You." Two years later she moved to Nashville, thanks to an artist development deal with RCA Records. Her debut album came out in 2006. The rest is history.
She also wrote a novel when she was 12
It's 350 pages, and hasn't been published. She also won a national poetry contest in fourth grade with a little ditty called "Monster in My Closet."
She's written songs about Selena Gomez, Dianna Agron, Lena Dunham and (probably) Katy Perry
Sure, Taylor Swift used to be known for kissing and telling, but she's also been inspired by her friends and (probably) enemies.
The song "22" is about Selena Gomez, Dianna Agron, Ashley Avignon and Claire Kislinger.
The 1989 bonus track "You are in Love," meanwhile, is about "Girls" star Lena Dunham and her boyfriend Jack Antonoff of fun.
"Bad Blood" is (probably) about her feud with Katy Perry. Swift told the Rolling Stone it's about a fellow singer who "would come up to me and awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?"
This might have been Katy Perry's response:
"Watch out for Regina George in sheep's clothing."

She has two cats: Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson
Yes: the cats are named after the characters on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Law and Order: SVU," which she apparently watches.
Her and Kanye are totally good now
Everyone knows about the notorious "Imma let you finish but … " incident at the VMAs, but it appears that Swift and the future president of the United States are good now, if the bouquet of flowers he just sent her are any indication …
She was the first SNL host to write her own monologue
It's called the "Monologue Song," and mentions her dating the werewolf from "Twilight" (which, for the record, she totally did …).

So far, she has received 229 awards and 481 nominations
But still makes the "surprised face" every time.

Even Taylor Swift's mom thinks the lyric in Blank Space is "Starbucks Lovers"
Apparently it's actually "long list of ex-lovers," but listen to the song and decide.

For the record, Starbucks Lovers is really, really poetic.
