Vance Joy plays sold-out show at the Gothic

ARTIST: Vance Joy

WHERE IT WENT DOWN: The Gothic Theatre in Englewood

FAN STYLE: The chill atmosphere made this show the perfect date-night concert. Lots of couples of all ages were snuggled up or dancing together. Vance Joy also seemed to be quite popular with teen girls.

ARTIST STYLE: Vance Joy is an Australian indie-folk singer/songwriter best known for his songs "Riptide" and "Mess is Mine." He is currently touring his debut album "Dream Your Life Away." According to a bio on Spotify, Joy got his start by playing open-mic nights in Melbourne while completing his law degree and decided to follow a music career instead.

THE SHOW: Vance Joy's sold-out show was relatively short (he only has one album and played pretty much the whole thing). He kept it low-key and didn't play an encore, but fans didn't seem to mind. There was nothing show-y or over-produced, just Joy playing his music and people dancing along. Fan favorites included "Georgia," "From Afar," and his popular singles "Mess is Mine" and "Riptide."

THE OPENER: Kaleo opened the show. This was the Icelandic band's first time in Denver. Their music is a mix of classic rock, blues and The Black Keys. Fans loved them. Check out their music here:
