DENVER - Football season is almost here, and fittingly, kicks off at Mile High Stadium with the defending Super Bowl champions (Denver Broncos) hosting the Carolina Panthers.
To celebrate, there will be a Kickoff Village at Civic Center Park that will offer free shows, a chances to meet the pros and other goodies.
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE NFL KICKOFF
Like the Taste of Colorado, the NFL kickoff is totally free – but, the NFL bag policy does apply. You can learn more about that here: http://www.nfl.com/qs/allclear/index.jsp
Wednesday (Sept. 7)
3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Kickoff Village officially opens. This is your chance to take a photo with the Vince Lombardi trophy, get a digitized Hall of Fame bust (whatever that is), sit in on a draft, get autographs from NFL legends, meet cheerleaders and more.
Thursday (Sept. 8)
10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This marks the Broncos’ first game of the season, a Super Bowl rematch against the Carolina Panthers. Since the Broncos won their last game against Cam Newton and friends, we get to have the kickoff village.
In addition to all of the cool stuff you could find the day before, there’s also a free concert from Dierks Bentley and OneRepublic (gates open at 3 p.m. and the concert starts at 4:30 p.m.).
