The right way to paint bathroom walls

Fix This: The right way to paint bathroom walls. 9NEWS at 7 a.m. 9/11/16.

KUSA - The paint in the bathroom can often peel because of high humidity.

One expert has some advice on how to paint your bathroom so the paint won't peel. JR Little from HighWest residential remodeling specialists says it's all in the paint.

He says be sure to use a semi gloss when you paint your bathroom.

If you do have peeling paint, scrape off the old paint and apply an orange peel product you can buy at a home improvement store.

Once dry, I used a painter and primer in one.

First, I taped off the areas that needed it, used an edger next to the ceiling,  and a good quality paint brush to finish the corners and edges.

Then with a good drop cloth on the floor I used a roller to paint the walls. We also want to stress that almost every expert in the industry will tell you they have different ways of painting and doing  finishing work, so we want to hear your advice on how you finish off walls and paint an area.

And if you don't ever feel comfortable doing a project, get an expert to do it instead.
