You've told us you like big, bold ideas.
It's why you should be reading Denverite, the online news startup, if you're not.
They're our competition, I guess, but it's not like you have to choose between Denverite and Next.
We love their new series "One Big, Crazy Denver Idea," which is why we caught up with the first thinker featured, to explore his plan to change a key part of the city.
His question: Should we get rid of Speer Boulevard?
“My proposal is we remove Speer Boulevard between Colfax and Downing, and create a place for people, and not just cars... I came up with the idea thinking of park space in the city, how we use Cherry Creek. How it’s a great amenity, and it’s completely cut off by eight lanes of traffic... It could be replaced with a transit line.”
