DENVER - The tenth annual Denver Arts Week starts Friday but the city is kicking it off  Thursday with a new public mural.

The mural will be in the Santa Fe Art District on Sante Fe Drive. Denver Arts Week is meant to expose more people to art in the metro area.

For example, the Colorado Ballet is taking 20-percent off some of its upcoming productions of "The Nutcracker."

And there are deals with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
