KUSA - This edition of Gadgets included items from the SIA Snow Show, one of the largest snowsports trade shows in the world.
Obermeyer Ski Jackets
Gary and Kyle looked spiffy modeling Obermeyer's latest designs. Gary wore the men's Kenai Shell, while Kyle sported the ladie's Coco model. These ski jackets feature a highly technical eco-fabric called Cocona, which is made from recycled coconut shells or lava sand.
Obermeyer says Cocona is fast drying, moisture wicking, and odor resistant. In addition to its techy traits, designers say the fabric looks great on the slopes with its vertical striations and gradient color. Learn more at www.obermeyer.com

Ridekick
You won't find this at the Snow Show, but it's a new example of Colorado's very active entrepreneurship. The Ridekick is an electric power trailer that connects to most bikes, turning them into all-electric rides.
The Ridekick was invented in Fort Collins and is manufactured in Loveland. The trailer, which can hold up to two grocery bags, contains the battery and motor. It removes easily to charge at work. The Ridekick can hit speeds up to 19 miles per hour without pedaling. Learn more by visiting www.ridekick.com
