Emergency Family Assistance Association

Jeffco Action Center Jeffco Action Center, a human-services non-profit,
provides an immediate response to basic human needs and promotes
pathways to self-sufficiency through intervention, prevention
and connection to essential services. More than 25,000 Jefferson
County residents receive assistance annually at the Action
Center with food, clothing, homeless shelter, medical and
utility assistance. With the help of hundreds of volunteers,
the Action Center gives help, provides hope and builds dignity

Metro CareRing is an emergency assistance service for those
in need in Metro Denver. Counselors assist those in need
with food, toiletries, RTD bus tokens for work&appointments,
assistance with identification documents, utilities assistance,
work supportive services such as tools and boots, and referrals
to other agencies for services we do not offer. Clients may
receive services once every 30 days.
Mile High United Way
The mission of the United Way is to unite and focus the community's

Helping people who are hospitalized, homebound, in care facilities, lonely or discouraged because of loss of job, health changes, grief issues, etc.
Salvation Army Intermountain Division
With heart to God and hand to man, The Salvation Army strives
to meet the basic needs of all who come seeking help. Taking
immediate care of the basic human needs of food, shelter,
clothing and safety is an important first step in the development
of a more positive and permanent change in the people they

Volunteers of America VOA serves the basic needs of the most vulnerable

Energy Outreach Colorado is dedicated to keeping Colorado homes warm, healthy
and safe by raising money for energy assistance. We assist people in emergency
situations by helping pay the balances on their utility bills. We also help limited
income families to be more self-sufficient by funding energy efficiency measures
that lower energy costs in affordable housing across Colorado.

The Gathering Place
Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women and children who are experiencing homelessness or poverty. The organization offers a safe daytime refuge to women and children living on the streets of Denver. Their emergency services afford immediate relief to women and children in distress. Samaritan House A center of hope and help for the homeless, located in downtown Denver. It can accommodate over 320 men, women and children each night. There are separate facilities for single men, single women and families with children.
