For 10 years 9NEWS has been proud to honor emerging leaders in our community, recognizing those who make a significant contribution to the well-being of our state.
  • Entries can be submitted in essay form or by completing a short-answer nomination form available online.
  • All entries must be less than 1,500 words in total length.
  • All entries must be typed and double-spaced (unless submitted through the 9NEWS website).
  • Individuals may not self-nominate.
  • Selected finalists must be available to interview with the selection committee on January 10, 2012.
  • Selected finalists will be contacted in late December. 
  • The winner of 9NEWS Leader of the Year Award will be chosen by the selection committee. Their decision is final. 
  • The winners will be chosen in January and notified shortly thereafter.
  • Deadline: all entries must be received at by 12:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2011.
