Dr. William Reifman, also known as "The Rock Doc" took the stage just before 10 p.m. and told the crowd that it would be a detriment to Brandon Flowers' voice if he sang Thursday night.

Ronnie Vannucci, Jr., the band's drummer, told the audience they would come back to make it up to their fans.

On Friday, the band made good on that promise, rescheduling the concert for September 4 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

According to officials, all tickets from Thursday's show will be honored at the September 4 show.

Band officials say Flowers is expected to make a full recovery and the band has no plans to cancel any upcoming shows.
