Get ready to get dizzy Denver: Brain Drain is coming

KUSA - Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park is opening a new thrill ride this May.

Brain Drain is a seven-story steel looping thrill machine that sends riders forwards, backwards and "head-over-heels" in what the park promises will be "an adrenaline drenched 360° revolution." This is the first new thrill ride to be added to the theme park in a decade, and was commissioned to celebrate Elitch's 124th birthday.

"Guests can let their hair fly as they shuttle back and forth with suspense before wildly looping seven stories in the air," according to Tracy Durham, Elitch's director of marketing.

With back to back seats facing either direction, each ride on Brain Drain is going to be what the park labels "a unique experience with great views of the Denver skyline and the Rocky Mountains."

Season Pass holders can be the first to ride Brain Drain before the park opens to the public, with an exclusive invite to the Season Pass Sneak Peek Party on May 2. The park opens to all on May 3.

Elitch Gardens has added more days, and more hours to its upcoming season. They've also brought back free concerts with daily admission or a Season Pass. Disney superstars Zendaya and Bridgit Mendler have been lined up, plus Christian rock group Newsboys and Hispanic music favorite Conjunto Atardecer.
