Colorado officials snuff out pot use at Denver bars, restaurants with liquor

Bars, restaurants and other businesses licensed to serve alcohol will not be allowed to also host “social marijuana” use despite passage of a Denver initiative on the subject, a unit of the Colorado Department of Revenue has decided.

Initiative 300, which Denver voters narrowly approved in the fall election that ended Nov. 8, allows for social use of marijuana by adults in certain businesses.
