DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Where are you headed for dinner tonight?

Two Denver area restaurants — Acorn and Linger — made the list of the Top 100 Hot Spot Restaurants in America released Thursday as part of OpenTable's 2014 Diners' Choice Awards.

Acorn, located in the Denver's River North District at 3350 Brighton Blvd., serves eclectic, contemporary American cuisine such as coal-roasted beets and oak grilled beef strip-loin.

Linger, at 2030 W. 30th Ave., has a rooftop patio and cooks up dishes from around the world, such as:

  • American sesame BBQ tacos
  • Asian pork belly buns
  • South Asian chile paneer
  • Middle Eastern carrot & lentil felafels
  • European seared diver scallops.

San Francisco-based OpenTable Inc., an app and website that allows diners to make instant reservations at local restaurants, surveyed more than 5 million people to compile the list.
