Georgia fried chicken chain expanding in Colorado

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - A Georgia-based fried-chicken chain says it's planning expansion in Colorado, as well as five other states.

Atlanta-based Church's Chicken, which currently operates eight locations in the Denver area, said it's signed a "multi-year, development deal with Goalz Restaurant Group LLC to develop 20 Church’s Chicken restaurants per year in six states," including Colorado. The other five states are Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina and South Carolina.

“This development deal will substantially grow the number of guests who can enjoy our signature quality food and great chicken experiences," said Tony Moralejo, executive vice president of international business and global development at Church's, in a statement.

Church's currently has four locations in Denver, two in Aurora, and one each in Thornton and Commerce City.
