New Memorial Day recipes to try

KUSA - Memorial Day is only a few days away. If you haven't decided what to barbecue for your friends and family - you're in luck. David Anderson from Second Home Kitchen + Bar stopped by the 9NEWS backyard to give some tips on how to make a skirt steak with Adobo marinade, finished with chimichurri.

Chimichurri

Batch Size: 1 cup

1 bunch of parsley

1 tbs oregano, dried

3 cloves of garlic

1 lemon

1 cup olive oil

1 tsp chile flake

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tbs red wine vinegar

Combine all ingredients.

Adobo Marinade

Batch Size: 1 cup

1 cup canola oil

3 cloves of garlic

3 green onions

2 limes

2 tbs chile powder

1/2 tbs black pepper

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/4 cup cilantro

1 tsp salt

2 tbs paprika

Combine all ingredients.

Adobo Marinade

Batch Size: 1 cup

1 cup canola oil

2 tbs chile powder

1/2 tbs black pepper

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/4 cup cilantro

1 tsp salt

2 tbs paprika
