KUSA - Cinco de Mayo is Friday, and for many Americans, that means enjoying Mexican food... and probably a few margaritas.
And that also means many restaurants around the area are offering great deals and fun events for the holiday.
Here are a few we found around Colorado:
Stop by the chain known for their all-day, every day Happy Hour to grab a $5 margarita or draft beer and keep the cup.
This Englewood taco shop has a lot of drink specials for Cinco de Mayo: $5 Arta Margaritas and rozen Palomas, $3 Negra Modelo and Pacifico, $8 Arta Reposado shot and a beer, $9 Anejo shots & $4 mango jalapeno infused Arta Blanco shots. They're also offering two crunchy tacos for $5. And there's a raffle for a helicopter tour of Denver.
Stop by either ViewHouse location for $3 Sons of 1858 drafts or a $5 Holy Jalepeno cocktail. And if you're feeling nostaglic, the Centennial location has a live featuring 90s music from 5-8 p.m.
This cantina and tequlia bar at the Denver Pavillions is having a "Cinco de Drinko" party with drink specials, photo booth, Mariachi band, live DJ, and lots of free giveaways.
The Denver brewery is hosting "Skate-O-De Mayo" party in conjunction with the release of their Sir Veza Mexican-Style Lager. It includes rail jams, live music, limited edition T-Shirt artwork and, of course, beer.
Celebrate the "Picnic of the Pig" at Lola with a special menu celebrating swine and featuring some of Denver's best chefs. There is also $5 silver coins, $3 Top Rope Mexican-Style Lager and live music.
If you're really looking to get your margarita-drinking on this Cinco de Mayo, LosTacos in Colfax has a bottomless margarita special for $25. You can also be a little more reserved and get $2 tacos, $2 cans of Imperial, $3 pints and $3 infused tequila shots.
On the Border is also getting in on the $5 margarita deal. Their special is valid on "Cinco'Ritas" their specialty margaitas for the holiday.
On Saturday El Vez, the Mexican Elvis who has appeared in The Tonight Show, Oprah, MTV and more, is performing a Ophelia's in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
In case you're craving Chinese for your Cinco de Mayo dinner, you can still get a deal from P.F. Chang's. They are offering a free Street Fare appetizer with any entree purchase on May 5.
At this Platt Park Mexican spot, you can get two tacos, a beer and shot combo, or a raspberry-thyme margarita, each for only $5.
Have a passion for succulents? Salt & Grinder and florist, The Perfect Petal are teaming up for a Cocktails and Cacti fiesta where attendees can sip margaritas while learning how to plant and maintain a perfect succulent garden.
Stop into this Larimer Square tequileria on Cinco de Mayo for a special holiday menu as well as promotional giveaways from some mezcal and tequial brands including El Buho Mezcal, Azunia Tequila, Chamucos Tequila and Corona.
