The 'Cookie Lady' is back downtown, a welcome sight to customers

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - It didn't take long for the news to hit downtown businesses: The "Cookie Lady" is back.

Debbie Kuehn had closed her cookie shop, The Santa Fe Cookie Co., for two months. The shop is located just outside the Republic Plaza, off the 16th Street Mall at Tremont.

She said only that she was gone for health reasons.

With little fanfare, she opened the doors today at 10 a.m. and began baking. But by noon, she was out of most everything except the chocolate chip, M & M and peanut butter cookies.
