DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Zengo, a 13-year-old Latin-Asian fusion restaurant that was once a wildly popular draw to Denver’s then-new Riverfront Park area, has suddenly closed down.
Wednesday night was it for the eatery — part of renowned restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s empire — and a newer spot next door called La Güera, an employee who asked not to be named confirmed Thursday. Workers were told by email.
The closure was first reported by Westword Thursday.
Only last October, Zengo underwent an extensive remodel and menu update featuring “a "sophisticated blend of Asian flavors, as the DBJ’s Caitlin Hendee reported.
