DENVER - Baby Decker, who is named after former Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker, now weighs 8 pounds, 11 ounces.
Baby Decker weighed a little more than 1 pound when he was born in November 2013. His mother was only 24 weeks pregnant when she went into labor.
Tuesday, Decker was taken by ambulance from St. Joseph Hospital in Denver to Children's Hospital in Aurora. There was not an emergency. The trip was planned, so Decker can have a tracheotomy, a procedure to help him breathe easier.
Decker slept the entire way.
