Baby Decker recovering after tracheotomy

DENVER - Our favorite Denver Broncos fan, Baby Decker, is recovering after undergoing a tracheotomy.

The procedure, which will help him breathe easier, was performed Wednesday.

His mom, Cherie, told 9NEWS it took about three-and-a-half hours, and Decker is doing well. Doctors plan to keep him medicated for the next few days, so he can heal with little to no pain.

Decker is named after former-Bronco Eric Decker. Baby Decker weighed a little more than a pound when he was born in November at St. Joseph's Hospital. His mom was only 24 weeks pregnant when she went into labor.

Earlier this month, Decker was moved to Children's Hospital in Aurora, so he could have the tracheotomy.
