PetAid free wellness clinic helps homeless pet owners

DENVER - PetAid Community Outreach will host a free pet wellness and vaccine clinic for homeless pet owners on Sept. 12.

The clinic will be at The Salvation Army Crossroads Resource Center, located at 1901 29th Street in Denver from 1 to 4 p.m.

PetAid will provide general wellness exams and vaccines free of charge to homeless pet owners. If a pet needs follow-up care, the community outreach program provides subsidies for the pet to receive care at the PetAid Animal Hospital.

PetAid, a not-for-profit organization, says they serve the basic health needs of pets whose owners have personal barriers to receiving care in a vet clinic setting, such as those who are homeless, senior citizens and low-income families.
