Petline9 for Saturday 6/21/14

KUSA - Every Creature Counts is a no-kill cat and dog rescue that has been around for over 20 years. On Saturday they brought in two pets.

Amanda, a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix from New Mexico. She is a lap dog and just wants to be held and loved.

Squeak, a 10-week-old gray kitten. He is having eye surgery next week to try to save the eye that was compromised by an antibiotic resistant infection.

Every Creature Counts has a lot of kittens and puppies now, and they need canned Pedigree puppy and kitten food.

Last year they placed 2,700 cats and dogs in loving homes and spayed or neutered over 7,000 animals.

Their cats are featured at Petcos, PetSmarts and Chuck and Don's stores around the Metro area.

They have a dog adoption event every Saturday at the Petco located at the Colorado Boulevard and Interstate 25 as well as various other locations.

Rummage Sale and Adoption Event at the shelter on July 5 from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m.
