Support animals in need on Colorado Gives Day

GOLDEN – If you're looking for a way to support animals in need this holiday season, Colorado Gives Day has got you covered.

Foothills Animal Shelter invites Coloradans to support their efforts to care for thousands of homeless pets each year by donating next Tuesday, Dec. 8.

"The donations we receive on Colorado Gives Day will help us ensure more homeless pets get the care they need and find the homes they deserve," Executive Director Jennifer Strickland said.

Each year, Foothills Animal Shelter helps more than 9,000 pets find forever homes.

"Pets like Ziggy, a little lost poodle who, thanks to the shelter, survived a devastating car accident and now enjoys an active life with his adoptive family," Strickland said.

Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide initiative to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Coloradans are encouraged to donate online to their favorite nonprofit.

Every donation will qualify for the Community First Foundation and FirstBank $1 Million Incentive Fund that increases the value of every donation made.
