'Woof Fest' brings party to Civic Center Park

KUSA – Woof Fest is an opportunity to bring man's best friend down to the park and enjoy a night out with some food, brews and local Colorado bands.

Starting at noon Sunday, you can venture down to Civic Center Park to enjoy the festivities with your dog.

Dogs can play in cooling pools, enjoy a 'bobbing for dog toys' station and even change their image with a "doggie tattoo."

"It's a decorative stencil," Executive Director of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association Ralph Johnson said. "Non-toxic, washable, all good stuff."

Woof Fest is free to attend, but there is merchandise available which helps PetAid,

"We provide a healthcare safety net for pets," Johnson said. "We provide donor subsidized care for their [owners without economic resources] pets.
