Next DTV 'soft test' December 17th

KUSA - We're 75 days and counting, until the big switch to digital TV. On Wednesday, December 17th, you'll be able to see for yourself if your TV is ready.

A DTV 'soft test' is scheduled in a series of two minute demonstrations. A similar test was done last month. It will be an opportunity for any consumers who've procrastinated about the DTV change, to see what accomodations they might need to make.

You'll get plenty of advance notice before we run the test. If you see images and hear sound, you'll know your TV is good to go. If you see static or "snow" then you'll know your TV isn't quite ready to join the DTV age.
