The Underground Music Showcase reveals lineup

For four days each summer, almost every bar and restaurant along South Broadway in Denver is bursting with live music.

For four days each summer, almost every bar and restaurant along South Broadway in Denver is bursting with live music.

The Underground Music Showcase, which happens July 27 to 30, is one of Denver's popular music festivals and features many local artists along with some national acts.

This year, nearly 200 bands are set to play. The headliners are Benjamin Booker, Red Fang and Esme Patterson.

Some local bands include: Altas, Casey James Prestwood, Chimney Choir, Coastal Wives, Oko Tygra, Panther Martin, Rumours Follow and Whiskey Autumn.

Bands will play all along South Broadway at 3 Kings Tavern, Badgers Pub, Baere Brewing Company, Blue Ice Lounge, Gary Lee's Motor Club, Hi-Dive, Illegal Pete's, Irish Rover, Punch Bowl Social, Skylark Lounge, South Broadway Christian Church, Sputnik, Syntax: Physic Opera, The Hornet, Think tank Tattoo and a main stage at 363 S. Broadway.
