Powder the ski patrol pup visits 9NEWS

Powder the Steamboat Spring patrol pup.

An adorable four-legged friend with the job of keeping skiers safe on the slopes paid 9NEWS a visit on Saturday.

At 11-months old, Powder the Steamboat Ski Resort patrol pup is quite a bit bigger than when we first introduced you to her in March.

Her human, Duncan Draper, says Powder eats about 20 pounds of dog food each week, and will grow another 30 pounds before she’s fully grown.

Powder’s job is to give Duncan and others at the resort a chance to talk to people about slope safety. The idea is to spread the message of safety and stop ski accidents before they happen.

You can meet Powder for yourself Saturday at the Smartwool pop-up store in Larimer Square.

Powder and Duncan will be there from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. selling discounted season tickets.

Added bonus? The first 25 people who make a purchase at the store will be gifted two free season tickets.

And for old time's sake, take a look at these fluffy throwback pics of Powder:
