Rocky Mountain Public Media has raised 75% of $30 million goal, will break ground on new center

The capital campaign kicked off last year with a $6 million gift from the Buell Foundation, which then became the namesake of the new facility.

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - In its second capital campaign since its inception, Rocky Mountain Public Media — parent of Rocky Mountain PBS and KUVO-FM Jazz radio — said today that it has raised $14 million in 12 months toward its new headquarters and state-of-the-art media center.

That latest round of fundraising puts the organization on-track to break ground in August on the Buell Public Media Center in downtown Denver at 21st and Arapahoe streets.

So far the organization has raised $22.46 million, or 75 percent, of its $30 million goal, said Amanda Mountain, president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Public Media.

The new 63,000-square-foot facility will be in Arapahoe Square, three blocks from Coors Field. This capital campaign is only the second in the organization's history, but it has outgrown its space at 1089 Bannock St.
