Nowee, a finalist on "The Voice" in 2012 was arrested in Aspen over the weekend.

A former finalist on "The Voice" was arrested in Aspen on obstruction charges.

Gabrielle "Goldie" Nowee was taken into custody Saturday afternoon at a Condo Complex on Waters Avenue. Aspen police say she was renting a unit there along with Virgil Buchanan.

According to police, Buchanan was arrested earlier that same day in connection with the theft of a Louis Vuitton purse from a vehicle at a City Market store. Security cameras captured him using credit cards from the purse, according to police.

While he was in jail, police attempted to obtain a search warrant for their rental unit, however Buchanan was released from custody before they were able to get it.

Police say he and Nowee returned home and entered their unit even though they knew were not allowed to do so before police were able to search it.

Officers who were staged at the complex confronted Nowee and Buchanan, who initially locked themselves in the unit. They eventually complied with order to come out and were arrested.

Both were charged with misdemeanor obstruction of government operations.

According the police report, the stolen purse was visible on a table as well as "Tuperware containers" which were among the items purchased with the stolen credit cards.

Nowee was a finalist on "The Voice" in 2012. According to her biography page on the Universal Publishing Group web site, she's worked with some of the biggest names in music.
